The school was honored with National Blue Ribbon School Award of Excellence in the 2007-08 school year and was named the top-ranked high school in the state in the September 2008 and 2010 issues of New Jersey Monthly. In the first year of the high school, the ninth grade resided in one hall of the middle school.
